Use a standard .pptx with the comments still present. The exporter handles one file at a time, up to 25 MB, and stops when the presentation package is encrypted, damaged, or outside its safety limits.
Modern replies and verified thread status depend on relationships stored inside the presentation package.
Save macro-enabled or older presentation formats as a clean .pptx copy before export.

Understand what the workbook can represent

Hand off comments without losing slide context
Filter by slide, author, status, or thread type. Add response and disposition values as decisions are made, and use the slide number and title to return to the original presentation.
Comment and parent IDs preserve the relationship between a modern root comment and its replies.
Treat Unknown as an explicit information gap. Do not interpret it as Open or Resolved.
